See AllAlbufera de Mallorca Natural Park S'Albufera de Mallorca was declared a Natural Park on 28 January 1988 (Decree 4/1988). It is also a Wetland of International Importance, included in the Ramsar Convention and in the Natura 2000 Network, as a Special Protection Area for Birds (SPA) and a Site of Community Importance (SCI).S'Albufera is the largest and most important wetland area in the Balearic Islands, with an area of 1,646.48 Ha mostly wetland and is located in the municipalities of Muro and sa Pobla. It has a very old origin and has varied in extension and characteristics according to changes in sea level. Part of the wetland originated in the Tertiary era, but the current wetland area was formed less than 100,000 years ago. The coastal dunes are more modern, some 10,000 years old.Historical Centre of Alcúdia The historic centre of Alcúdia dates back to the 14th century after the Catalan conquest of the island. King James II of Mallorca ordered the construction of the walls to protect the city and the island from possible enemy attacks. In the 17th century, the second Renaissance walled enclosure was built and is currently being restored.Alcúdia was declared Artistic and Historical Heritage in 1974 and is currently the best-preserved walled historic enclosure on the island. In the Historical Centre of Alcúdia you can visit buildings impregnated with history, of great beauty and architectural value. Among them, in addition to the Gothic and Renaissance palaces, some of the most charming inland hotels on the island stand out. There are also civil, religious and cultural facilities: the Town Hall, the Can Torró Library, Can Fondo, Can Joanet, Can Domènec, the Roman City of Pollentia and its museum, the Church and the Parish Museum of San Jaime, the Bullring... as well as other unique buildings such as the Alcúdia Auditorium and the Can Ramis building, where the Tourist Office is located.The centre is pedestrianised and its streets offer a wide range of gastronomy and shops.Every Tuesday and Sunday there is a craft and food market that dates back to the 14th century.Formentor Beach Playa de Formentor is a beautiful white sandy beach with a blue flag located along the Formentor Peninsula, in the extreme northeast of Mallorca, about 10 kilometers from Port de Pollença. Located in one of the most unspoilt and spectacular spots on the island, with dense pine forests and views of the Tramuntana mountains, Playa de Formentor is long and narrow. It is about 1 kilometre long, and is bathed by shimmering turquoise waters. It is surrounded by pine forests, where you can rest in the shade on the hottest days. The beach is frequented by tourists who visit the north of Mallorca to contemplate the panoramic views from Cap de Formentor, the northernmost point of the island, where a lighthouse stands. On clear days, from here you can see the neighbouring island of Menorca.San Pere y Sant Joan Beach Two of the most charming small beache in Mallorca. Surrounded by rocks and cliffs, away from the big hotels but still easy to access. They are very close to our Hotel and the area is perfect to enjoy long walks.Alcanada Beach Small and cosy beach with stunning views to the big Alcudia bay and the lighthouse island. there are big areas in the shade of pine trees for those who enjoy taking a break from the sun.Puerto de Alcudia The Harbor area. With its long white sand beach and lovely docks area. It offers plenty of recreational activities, restaurants and shopping areas.Coll Baix A stunning beach in an isolated setting surounded by mountains and cliffs. I'ts only accessible by foot. It is untouched in a unique natural environment far from any constructions, perfect for people who enjoy unspoiled nature.
